박재현 교수 논문, 11월 AJO-DO Case of the Month 선정

애리조나치과대학 교정과장인 박재현 교수의 논문 'Improvement of facial profile by nonextraction orthodontic treatment with temporary skeletal anchorage devices and visual treatment objectives'가 미국치과교정학회지(American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, AJO-DO) 11월호에 'Case of the Month' 논문으로 선정됐다.

이 논문은 애리조나치대 외래 교수인 Kiyoshi Tai 박사와 함께 공동 연구한 것이다. AJO-DO는 교정학회지 중에서 citation index가 가장 높은 학술지이며, 박 교수의 논문과 함께 논문을 설명한 video가 AJO-DO website에 게재됐다.

한편, 박 교수는 지난 8, 9일 Mexico의 Mexico City에 있는 Intercontinental대학의 51주년 교정 학술대회에서 이틀 강의 연자로 초청돼 강의를 성공적으로 마쳤다. 이번 박 교수의 강의는 World Federation of Orthodontists의 직전 회장인 Roberto Justus 박사의 초청으로 이루어졌다.

현재, 박교수는 Journal of Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists 편집장으로도 활동하고 있으며, 2024년도에 전미주 교정 전문의(American Board of Orthodontics) 회장으로 취임한다.
